the car hop that spans generations
Scarlotta’s Car Hop began as Scarlotta’s Car Hop & Diner in the 1980s. Grandma Betty was known for her incredible meat sauce recipe. Generations of families have rolled up in their cars and rolled down their windows for car hop fare.
In the last decade, Scarlotta’s was owned by the Nelsons and the MacEacherons.
40 years later Grandma Betty’s granddaughter Laura Barlow and her daughter Payton reestablished the business under the family’s original name. The place has significance for Laura and her family — she and her husband Wes met there in 1997! It was love at first bite.
This is Scarlotta’s Car-Hop in Granville in 1985. The business is seeing loyal customers once again enjoying some of the home style recipes that go back 40 years.
